Basically title says it all. Is it possible for a dwarf puffer to eat a ghost shrimp? Just wondering cause I would like my puffers to have some fun hunting down something FAST.

I seen mine peck at them but I think they can, I know they like and eat live brine shrimp but I give it to them as a snack every few months.

Well, I'm sure they'd at least try to.

After my late shrimp shook his tiny fists at James Bond, they didn't bother him again. Then again, some DPs will definitely try them. If you want to feed them, try freezing them and cutting off a small piece at a time, or use the teeny baby shrimp.

How small are you thinking? For getting small ones would half an inch be too big? When they were in the 5 gallon I had 4 ghost shrimp in there and I only found 2, dead. The other 2 I've never seen. I wouldn't freeze them, the whole point is for them to hunt something fast. The thing is on brine shrimp is I can't find any eggs at stores.

I'm starting to get confusing. Let me restate this.
The reason why I'm wanting to feed them live ghost shrimp is to give them stimulating.
My pond snails are not producing any eggs as the cold weather is starting is giving them a rough time (they're outside).
The only other snails that I have are malasian trumpet snails, I do have some babies, smaller than their eyes, but I'm worried that their shell's will be too hard.

I have cherry shrimp in with my DP and he doesn't try to eat them at all and they are half the size of ghost shrimp.

Hrmm. I guess that's a no on the ghost shrimp. What about the MTS's? They only about as big as their pupils. Would they still be too hard for them?

I feed those to my F8s and I crunch them first for them.

That's another thing. I crushed a pond snail for them and they didn't touch it.
