white stuff on my puffer

I noticed today that my dog face has a few white specks on his mouth and around his eye. Could someone instruct me on what I need to do.

I read the article and followed the instructions on treatment.
Now the puffer is hiding and won't come out. Should I just leave him alone
or do I need to do something else?

so you've dropped the SG? hmm...are there any more/still white bumps on the fish?

All the spots are gone but he is a very dark brown. He is weak and hasn't eaten much for two days. He did take a bit out of a fish earlier. He just sits on the sand with his chin on the glass. He seems alert but he acts like he doesn't feel good. I am treating with melafix. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

My husband checked everything and said my tank was perfect. He check nitrite, nitrates and ammonia.
This morning the puffer was out and swimming. He ate a few blood worms but seems to be doing better.
He hides by the heater. I did notice that he was rubbing his nose in the sand.
Do I still need to leave the water like it is for the 5 weeks?
