I've got my MS-222 from my online order today, and im ready to get trimming however I am not sure how much of it I should use to put my two SAP's under?

Could anyone help?

I used a tiny amount, maybe even less than a gram in 2 lits tank water. Then I added a pinch more as required. The instructions that come with it are not great for very small fish though! Make sure you have a good recovery container with an airstone. It'll be scary though!!

Thanks so much, the instructions are for farm fish like Trout, or for Carp fisheries, etc... also apparently you can only but the meds if your a vet which didnt seem to cause me any issue when purchasing. Not that I am complaining.

It is a prescription only medicine, so in theory, your vet should have provided you with a written prescription so that you could get it from an on-line pet pharmacy. Not sure how you got it without!! I thought it was quite expensive - £36 for a 25g tub.

I just found the UK manufacturer/distributer Pharmeq online and ordered directly. It was £25 ish inc delivery for 25g

I am about to start although finding it difficult to measure 1g out, I think i may start with less and grdually build it up until he is under.

I would aim to expose it for the least possible time. So, find out the proper dose (someone here will know - did you read the dentistry article? maybe it's there) and go with that.

Valid Point - I am hoping for this advice as I have read the article but i could only see volumetric values for clove oil drops but nothing for exact measurements of MS222.

I'm open to suggestions

I have Salifert test kits that come with tiny spoons. 1 of those to about 2-3 cups of water works for me.
