I've got some sort of algae growing in my tank and its spreading pretty fast. The back wall is covered with green algae. Here's a pic.

Also, the plants are covered in something that looks like brown dust. Here's a pic of that.

Anyone know what it is, what causes it and how to get rid of it? The lights that I have right now are two 15 watt fluorescents. It is a 26 gallon with aragonite substrate and anacharis, anubias nana and dwarf sag. In it are three figure 8's and some bumblebee gobies. I know there aren't any brackish algae eaters but would molly's help???

Although I don't know exactly what that algae is, I do know that getting rid of any kind of algae involves nutrient control. Try being less generous with feedings, uping some water changes, or altering the photo-period (although you don't want to kill your plants). IMO adding molly's or any other fish would only increase your bio-load, making matters worse...good luck! :)
