It wasn't till recently I've noticed my GSP started to swim up and down the sides of the tank ALOT. Now he is swimming up and down smashing into the rocks at the bottom, hitting random objects around the tank like he cant see or something.

What is your nitrite reading? I believe high nitrite can cause blindness. I understand that this fish has ick do you see any of cysts around the eye area? Someone might have some other ideas.

my nitrite has been coming in at .25 for the past week, i used bio spira and tried to cycle it. I tried using Prime to lower the nitrite, nothing seems to be working well. The ick is gone though. He no longer has any white spots on his body, and does not rub up against things.

I'm glad it's getting better but ANY amount if nitrite is toxic. Read my sig.

I know it's toxic, but I can only do so much, I've been doing water changes and adding the prime. I'm going to read the sig, and see if it has any info that is going to help me.

On the bottle, it doesn't say that Prime neutralizes nitrites. Amquel+ does, I think.

Yes, prime does say on the bottle is detoxifies nitrites.

Mine doesn't... maybe there are two kinds?
