just out of curiosity.
i read in couple of posts that if a GSP's teeth is like over-grown, its teeth need to be trimmed?
but like how...?

i thought puffers r not suppose to be like out of the tank, as they can be puffing up with air, which is like dangerous?

i know feeding snails to PREVENT it from happen is safer and easier than trimming..
but I'm just curious as how could trimming actually be done?

You have to sedate them first to trim, best with Finquil or clove oil. Use the clove oil only if you can't get Finquil, the Finquil is much safer.

& if you want any info. from someone who has done it (using clove oil & ms222) I have done it twice recently! I feel I have a little knowledge on the subject now!

It is certainly not fun at all! I ended up having to do 1 trim on my F8, and I was so nervous about it that I could only trim the smallest amount off the tips of his teeth. Fortunately, it must have been just enough (combined with the better diet) to allow him to grind off the teeth on his own.
