Look at these cool little things for only 30-odd dollars! A 1.5", 65k colour intelligent LCD screen that is super-simple to control.

Here's the plan:

A little hand-held video screen that wirelessly connects to a tank controller... and displays full-colour graphs of temps, pH and Redox over the past 24 hours..... AND (oh yes, run-on sentence of the century) allows me to control fishly things without having to get up off the sofa!!!

So, if you don't hear from me again for another six months.... You'll know what I'm messing around with.

Please! I am the master of the run-on sentence. You have a long way to go to catch up!

I am not that techie - I actively do not want read-out. But for the technologically obsessed, it is no doubt a fun toy.

Just got hold of the little thing in the post, all the way from Australia.....

For now, I'm just playing....

Here's the screen, (+ fingerprints):

And here it is in action (just testing it out... It's really bright and crisp, actually... hard to snap a pic of):

Wow, that's extremely awesome.
Have you ever thought of marketing your creations?

Awsome! You should maybe consider starting a tech service for fishtanks.

Yikes! Sounds like I go round scraping people's glass....

To be honest, it is in the back of my mind that I could build something commercially, but it would be a long haul, and I don't even know if I can successfully make them for myself first.

But, if I were to develop a reasonably-priced product, I'm in the right place!

you mean on the forum or in slightly capitalist leaning china controlled territory?

cause one is good the other is a bit dicey at times

I did mean China actually ;)

I don't agree with your summation of it being "slightly capitalist leaning".... It is, to all intents and purposes, very capitalist (in most areas).

If you're going to build a product, best place to do it is ... um... the place that makes everything else competitively.
