Burp her. You won't hurt her. Net her carefully, hold her tail, grit your teeth, and do it. As long as you only hold her tail and the very base of her body, she'll be fine.

Trying at the moment, but the air bubble just keeps moving around where i'm stroking! Any ideas?

She keeps floating upside down as well.

I've never done this before, so I don't know. Anyone?
Until you figure out what to do, keep the area quiet and dimly lit, and avoid sudden movements. Hopefully, she won't wear herself out too badly or hurt herself trying to swim down, or even gulp more air.

Hopefully you have sorted out her air problem by now? The only way I have done the "burping" is by holding the fish by the base of the tail under water, with head facing up - & wiggle it. Has always worked for me.

What about holding her vertically, tail-down, and tugging sharply downwards a couple of times?

If you have tried the technique I suggested, & still no luck, yes, you could euth her. BUT, don't do it cos you are upset. I would feel inclined to put her somewhere away from currents etc, in the dark & just leave her quiet. Don't watch her if it upsets you, but give her a chance to right herself.

Dont worry just needed to know the options if it got to it. Still upside down it has been over an hour now. Tried leaving her alone for a little while, will keep trying. I am crying it does upset me but I really am going to try and save her. I will try that Lil green puffer

I hope you get this sorted ok hun. I know how upset you are and have given a few more suggestions elsewhere. I thought I may find anything new out on here, but see you've already looked.
