One DP ok?

We just moved and during the move I lost 2 of my 3 DP's in my 10 gallon tank :(

I tried replacing one of them and the new puffer was just thin looking and wouldn't eat at all for me. He ended up dying because he wouldn't eat anything I tried feeding him!

Now I'm stressed to try another puffer. When I first got my 3 - I got them from the same pet store as this recent sickly one. And they were fat and active and eating the second I brought them home. I haven't seen healthy ones in a while...
I don't know what to do.

I do have a 5.5 gallon tank that I could move this one into, but I wouldn't want to do that if she's going to be lonely by herself. She was excited when I fed her some snails and she didn't have anyone to be faster than to get them! But I don't want to cause more stress....

I'm also scouring CL to get a bigger tank. I'm hoping for a 20 gallon so I can get a Figure 8!!

DPs won't be lonely on their own.

The one that was thin and didn't eat probably had worms. Did you deworm them?

I didn't think of it because my guys where so healthy last time.

:(

Poor thing. I should have thought of that...

If the little girl won't be sad alone (she has her Oto friends) then I'll just move her into the 5.5 tank then.

That sounds like a plan. :) Deworm her, since she's almost certainly got worms too, having been exposed to the sick one. Also, new fish pretty mcuh always have worms - it's just a fact of life. She must have been in better health and was able to resist the parasites better, but deworming is going to do her nothing but good.
