Hi all,

I am feeding my F8 with red californian worms because my apple snails and cherry shrimps are taking too long to grow, is it bad ?, he is not showing any interest on human shrimps.

Thanks.

First off, welcome to the forum! :D

Did you try mussel? My F8 puffers love them. Another option is to go to a LFS and ask for some snails that come with plants. They are easy to breed, you just need: a 5g tank, clean water, aeration and some food for them (flake food, veggies etc).

The red worm is fine since yo umake sure that there are not any pesticides in the place where they are. But the problem is that red worms are not crunchy enough to wear down the puffer's teeth. A variety of food will offer differents vitamins, mineral etc. to your fish.
