I have looked at two very large pharmacies and cannot find a tooth ache type medicine that contains "clove oil" as an active ingredient. Wondered if anyone has used something else or if there is a substitute to clove oi?

Does clove oil go under a different name when it is listed on the packages of the tooth ache medicines maybe?>

Any help would be appreciated, Thanks!

Clove oil is listed as Eugenol on the package. This is what you are looking for. You should be able to find it in the drugstore near Orajel and the other toothache remedies. If not, ask the pharmacist.

Another good place to try will be your local health food shop, as they've usually got loads of essential oils in, and clove oil's quite common.
