I see white spots on my Puffer's Fins,
like ich but it's no way that it's ick.
They don't look like cysts,I haven't added a fish in a month or so.
I do use natural SW so maybe I introduced something
Params and Information
Water : Perfect,It's a reef and my coral is thriving(Nothing could be wrong in that area)
20 Gallon Tiny Dime sized Damsel,Zebra Blenny,Coral Banded Shrimp,
Tiny SIlver Fish(I'm not sure what it is),Some Zoanthid Frags,Hermit Crabs and Octocoral.
No changes, just 25% water changes(SW with SW from the ocean) weekly,
feeding every other day with frozen(for 2 weeks minimum) Shell On Shrimp,Nerite snails and fresh macro.
It's been up for 1.5 months or so,before that he was in a 7 gallon.

Sorry that all the pics are blurred,it makes the spots look worse.
They don't look like cysts or lesions,Kinda like sand stuck on him but it's been there for 3 days.
Could be nothing, but I value him and just had to ask.

If it was ich it would look like little grians of salt all over it's body. I don't think it's ich. Elvis and Annabelle both get that and it's nothing to worry about. :D I'm not sure what it's technically called but I like to call it calicum spots or nail prints. Kind of when you get white spots in your fingernails. Someone recnetly posted about this same thing. I'll search for it and post the link for you. :D

Yes it's made my day :)
Never have to worry about that again ever.
Okay now what could be injuring his fins ?
I don't think a dime sized damsel could do it,
my blenny wouldn't must be the Coral Banded Shrimp or tiny(1.5 inch)
somewhat rare non photosenthic anemone(he nver goes near it).
The shrimp has tried to attack my blenny,
maybe it's him...

My GSP and my Arrowhead both have these spots and they don't have tank mates. I wonder if these are natural? Fin tissue is like skin tissue, I wonder if these spots are where the spines would be if it were on the body.

Ditto for what Dadof4 said. I don't think it's an injury it's just something that happens in nature.
