Can I Use Spirulina Powder????? (figure 8's)

Post by carlos »

I have been looking at the nutritional profile of my powdered spirulina (blue green algae) it is high protien and packed with natural vits and minerals, i thought it would be perfect for the puffers if i put it in the water that i use to defrost theyre food.

According to my research the spirulina is as good if not better than any vit supplement you can buy.
However I best check with you guys and gals for your opinion.

The plan is to put spirulina in water dissolve it then add food needing to be defrosted, it will come out a bit green but will be loaded with a reasonable amount of nutrition.

It grows in tropical brackish conditions too. Your input would be much appreciated.

I don't see any trouble ahead. I'm not sure if the food will absorb the spirulina powder's nutrient... But I would give it a chance.

Did it today and the meat of the muscle went green and taken on some goodness, they absolutely loved it and when they had had enough i scraped the rest out and let them play with the shell. They loved picking the last of the meat off it.

How do you plan on feed it to to your puffer?
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...
