Can someone let me know if these look healthy? Big puff is that fat all the time. He doesn't have any odd lumps or anything. Big puff is about 2.5 inches, little puff is about 2 excluding tails. They get fed 5 - 6 days a week, snails daily, squid, mussels, octopus, crabs, woodslaters etc.

They're in a 150L tank with an 80L sump, live rock, and some coral. There is 1 other fish, a damsel, in the tank. I do a weekly w/c 10 - 25% depending on how many small syphons I've done after feeding, I usually try to syphon out their mess daily.. Salinity 1.022, ammonia 0, nitrite 0 nitrate <10.

I've been having a few issues with little puff since they went into the tank with the damsel; the damsel chased little puff once and now I think he's scared. He always has a grey tummy when I'm not there, but when I watch him, his tummy goes pure white. I'm thinking maybe it's just his way to show me he misses me, but I'm prepared to get rid of the damsel if I have to.

Well, damsels are usually schooling fish, right? (If no, tell me!) Maybe it would be better off with others of its own kind.

I would get rid of the damsel, since the bullying could be the stress trigger. Of course, lots of GSPs have black bellies for no reason at some times.

Some say they are and some say they aren't. I think the general consensus is that they are not schooling fish.

Damsels are from the same family as clown fish and can live in hierarchies like their clown cousins but can also live alone. They are very aggressive and will bully any kind of other fish, including big bad puffers. Especially if he was put in the tank first to establish his own territory.
In all honesty you may have to get rid of the damsel to make Puff's life a little calmer.

Damsels are the nastiest things...so aggressive! If you want something similar, but peaceful go with chromis, but unlike damsels chromis do school.
