My guess is milkspotted, but I'm not always "on" when it comes to these striped types of puffers.

I think this profile needs some serious updating, its listed in Marine but says they are found in all water types and no one knows what type is best...

We need more photos of milkspotted puffers in the Pedia I see too...

Again, I'm not positive that's the species you have, the species guru's will be along in good time to let you know though.

Looks more like a marine or brackish species to me possibly Chelonodon patoca?

It may become more defined as the puffer ages. Btw: You have a beatuiful puffer.

Markings do varey with the indivual. Also with a few external pressures such as stress, water paramteres etc. And again with ages, most fish do tend to look better with size exept with a few species.

oh and yeah we do need more info on these,
even tho theyre marine nearly everysite ive found with info on them says theyre mainly found in fresh.
