Can table salt temporarilly replace marine salt?

I have a tank set up for my GSP but it isn't brackish yet and I'm wondering if plain table salt could act as a temporary substitution until I get Marine salt (Probably this weekend).Does it act like marine salt. Is it toxic to fish? etc.

you definitely should not use your table salt
the iodine can kill the fish
honestly, it rele isnt a big deal to put any salt in right away
itt can hold off til the weekend

Even if you use iodine-free salt, it wouldn't work. There's all sorts of other stuff in there besides sodium. I don't know the chemistry, but I know that table salt wouldn't work. There's no harm in waiting a few more days.
