how much marine salt?

I'm curious, how much marine salt per gallon (or 10 gallons) should I add to get +.001 SG?

I found a rough estimate is; a cup of marine salt added to 5g of water will raise the SG around .005. You do the math.

I'm finding that while puffers are kind of a niche fish, but the community that has sprung up around them is friendlier than the mainstream fish forums (don't tell 'em I said that)
