Tetraodon cochinchinensis

The Puffer Pedia says this is an active and sociable fish. I'm trying to learn more about it because I know it is part of the target group which are usually labelled as lurkers. Is it mostly active at night? By active swimmer, is this more like the activity level of a SAP?
Thanks for any help.

Myaj has a similar Turgidus & she claims he greets her whenever she approaches his tank.

I've got two Tetraodon cochinchinensis, and I don't see them until the lights are out, and then I see them coming out of their caves. They really don't do much to be honest. I see them swim around a little at night, but I think they mainly come out to eat the food and then it's back into their caves. I rarely see them during the day, although it has happened.
I've read that they are very vicious and that they will bite, but I've had my hands in the tank to put plants in and they've never even come close to my hands (not that I care to get bitten). I've never seen them attack each other either, but you'd think they were horrible if you believe what's written in the Aqualog book.
I would say they are similar to the behaviours of a lurker, and definitely nocturnal.
I wish they would come out more often as I don't get to see them as much as I'd like to. They are pretty to look at, when I DO get to see them.

I know it wasn't all that helpful, sorry. I haven't had mine for very long and they stay in their caves all the time, so I don't get to see them much.

It was definitely helpful because it answered the activity level issue. Thanks!
