Pufferfish anatomy

I bet I will end up feeling really stupid after asking this, but I have been wondering it since I first saw a pufferfish 
What are the little stalky thingies near the puffer's eyes?

My GSP had little fins like eyebrows. Is that like what you're thinking about?

Not quite. Winston has two little stalky antenna thingies just a little way below his eyes near his mouth.
I think all puffers have them.

Nostrils! Fish have an acute sense of smell (usually their eyesight is poor) so I guess with puffers being the more voracious sort they'll need bigger nostrils than most!

I know Elevator has an amazing sense of fishy smell. If I forget to wash my baster that I use to feed em and just dip it into the water to draw water for to defrost his food, he goes NUTS...not even putting food into the water.
