Sterazin and Protozin

Does anyone know if these are safe for / with pufferfish?
Typical the week before I am due to move my neons look like they're getting tetra disease and my swordtails are flicking 
Tested the water and the parameters are all fine, no new additions and no live food recently - I swear they're doing it on purpose to add extra stress! At this point in time I am only really concerned about Winston (maybe sounds a little harsh, but if it wasn't for him I would probably not even be moving my tank over, I'd give it and the fishes to family).
Also, can these be used together? And I know the Sterazin isn't safe for my vampire shrimp, but how long after the treatment is it unsafe for?

Are you trying to treat your main system? I would get the sick ones in quarantine and treat them first...or does everyone have sickness?

I'll have to treat the whole system unfortunately as my quarantine tank is already in Belgium 
(typical - only time I have ever needed it)

Hm...Is there a bucket or something you can use with an airstone perhaps? Anything that you can use to keep the healthy ones from being treated.

I guess I could put the unhealthy ones into a bucket, but as Winston is about 10" long he's too big for the bucket (plus having to move him in a week I am trying to avoid as much stress for him now as I can).
Would it not be worth treating everyone just in case? (First time I've ever needed to treat or been considering treating so I'm unsure).
The Sterazin can also be used to treat IPs, which I've never actually treated Winston for before as he's never shown any signs of needing it. But unfortunately this treatment course is 10 days and I'm hoping to move next Tuesday, so I might have to either wait to do this one or treat half here and half there

The reason you do not want to treat healthy fish is it can actually lower the fishes immune system and cause unnecessary stress. Plus like humans, each time a fish is exposed to an antibiotic or medication it can develop a gradual immunity towards it. I would really try to find something large enough to serve as a QT and just get an air stone. You won't need to worry about lights seeing as most medications are light sensitive anyways.

I'll see if I can find something large enough to use as a QT.
I'll do an extra water change in the morning too I think, see if that helps...
I swear they're doing this on purpose - been watching me pack and so pretending to be ill to add to the stress of it all!

You might use a plastic tub. I'd definitly rinse it out first though. Worst case scenario go to the store and grab one for around 6 bucks American. Good luck!

Wish I knew what was actually IN sterazin. I heard one report it may be piperazine based.

I did a huge water change this morning (80%ish) to see if that would help the fishes. I also took out all the plants and snails to get them ready for the move and cleaned the filter. I've not cleaned out the filter in about 3 months, but somehow in that time the carbon in my Fluval 305 has disintergrated - not a sign of it left except for 3 empty filter chambers. I've not used any treatments on the tank ever, so I have no idea whats happened.
I also found the creepiest bug thing ever swimming in my water and red leechy worm things on the plants, which have all been removed and going to be binned.
Seriously not impressed with my filter, glad I have a new one waiting for me. I've even set up my spare filter running as I simply don't trust the fluval anymore.
But the bug thing (pics to come) and the wormy things have totally freaked me out, so I've decided to treat the whole tank (minus the shrimps) with the Sterazin. I'm guessing its safe for puffers since Puffertt77 used it for Naboo when he had IPs I believe? (searched the forum) I take it Naboo had no adverse reactions? Not seen anything on here anyway.
I'm guessing I should use a full dose of this stuff? It says you can use a half dose for 'sensitive species', but I don't want to risk causing more problems by underdosing.
In regards to whats in Sterazin it says on the bottle: malachite green 0.08% w/w, piprazine citrate 0.34% w/w and formaldehyde 0.2% w/w.
