Noticed it yesterday arvo - one of her top plates had gone, and she had some redness just inside her mouth.
Melafixed immediately, and the redness is gone now, and she's behaving normally. Last night was a non-feeding night, so I'll find out later if she can still eat ok..she was doing the cockle dance and begging in front of guests, so I guess she feels ok.
I added some coloured gravel to the aragonite ages ago..a couple of handfuls, just for some dots of colour here and there. Friday night I fed them mysis shrimp, and I think she must've grabbed a bit of gravel thinking it was a shrimp and that's broken the tooth.
Thing is, I'm worried it won't grow back properly, and she'll have to have regular teeth trims. Her teeth don't grow like Robert's, as she scrapes shells more than he does, so they've never been very big.
Just a bit worried...has anyone got any experience with this? Obviously if it doesn't grow back properly, her bottom tooth'll need trimming occasionally.

I think that you have got the idea - most puff's teeth regrow without big issues there. The biggest hazard is the opposing plate, that you have to watch and trim if it gets too long.

She scoffed half a cockle with no apparent difficulty and very apparent enthusiasm. I'll Melafix for a week, as I looked through some old posts and found that you lost an F8 from an infected tooth plate.
Poor Mags...she looks like a village idiot...an open mouth showing a huge gap and bug eyes...she's normally so beautiful.
It'll grow back soon, though.

Aww, poor thing. She will be back to good in no time:)

Hope so...they just had a mussel and her mouth looks red again. Just don't want her to get an infection..her mouth goes a bit red after she eats, but I'm not too mad about that..it's like she's not healing.
