Saw some beautifull Puffers today, take a look at the vids below

Brown Dogface with yellow mouth and fins, a lovely Stripped Burr fish and a pink, red and white porky. They were all 2 inches


A Jewel Puffer about 4 inches


I think this was a gorgeous 8 inch Narrow-lined Puffer / Arothron manilensis although it had no lines on it?! Also looked like a Stars and stripes without the stars and stripes he was around 8 to 10 inches long and very fat


I wanted them all

The porc was so cute! I want one, but that probably won't ever happen on my future starving-artist budget.

Nice selection Spongebob you'll have to take some vids and pix next time you go there, I'd love to see the Mappa and Midnight Puffer (what is that by the way?)

Oh yeah I remember someone posting that now

The porc didn't look healthy to me at all. It was hardly moving. Was it like that in the store, the whole time you were there?
Not sure what the 3rd puffer was, if I had to guess I would say a dog face. It's beatuiful what ever it is.

I agree about the porc. I would have notified the manager.

Defenatly wasn't a dogface, if anything it looked more like a cross between a SnS and that Narrow-lined Puffer, the reason I say the Narrow-lined Puffer is that it had the same yellow stripey tail and yellow lips. It also had the depth in it's body like a SnS. But yes he was beautifull

It's funny you say that because I thought that about the porc aswell. I asked the LFS guy if he was ok and he fed him while I was standing there, the porc actually had some air stuck in him which is why his tail was sticking upward (if you look at his back you can see a lump). He blew out the air when the food was dropped in, he certainly perked up when the food was on offer

The LFS guy reckoned that the other fish his with are quite bolshy and that was why he's quite reserved (don't know why he was in there if that's the case)

Like I said though he did perk up when he was fed, their eye's are just so beautifull, always reminds me of the little spaceships in the film Batteries Not Included

I couldn't see that link but here's the dvd cover If you've seen the film you'll know that the little robot spaceships even hover round like a porc

That was in tv link (the cover) Do you recomend the movie?

Aw the movie is awesome, definately watch, bit dated now but the little robots are super cute!

I thought that when saw the porc, the one I visit (and REALLLLLLY want) is super active and always follows my finger and comes to see me. It was funny last time as my mum went, oh he will do that for anyone and he so did not! He liked to follow me the beauty. OHHHHH..wait 4 yeaars, wait four years, get your GSP and dwarfs, wait four years! lol

Anyways they are all awesome and extremely jealous of your stores, there are only two stores I know of locally, one is awful and mislabelled Ceylons as F8s and they were battered. The other is great but only seen dogface, stars and stripes, porc and SAPS. Waiting on an excellent stockist I have been chatting to, to get his stock of puffs in (hoping to get my puffs from him). Havent seen any dwarf puffs in the flesh yet!

I'm thinking dogface, too.

Nice puffers, i've not really seen a good variety of marine puffers over here yet. Probably cos i dont really look in marine sections in shops and i dont get out much lol
