Elvis and Ich (It won't go away)

As of Jan. 07, we were offically in Hypo, March 1st I decided to extend it for a few more weeks just to make sure.
Sunday March 29 I raised his sg from 1.009 to 1.011 and today he was doing nose dives into the sand again!
How long is it going to take to kill this ich? Is there anything at all that I can treat the tank with to kill it?
I've kept his sg between 1.008-1.009 the whole time. Amm.0, Nitrite 0, Nitrate 10, soaked his food in garlic every feeding. Should I put whole cloves of garlic in his tank?

The ich shouldn't be back that fast and with that small of a SG change. No spots yet I wouldn't treat the tank yet.

I haven't seen any spots. I brought his sg back down to 1.009 with ro/di water and he's stopped the trashing.

i suspect he's reacting to the rise in SG then, rather than ich... maybe rise by 0.001 a week instead of 0.002.. see if that helps...
he probably just doesnt like the change in salinity, although mine never reacted like that, mine never dive bombed the sand when they had ich either... maybe he's just a bit of a sensitive soul..
try raising by 0.001 and see what happens...

that can't be right... it just cant be.
I've done hypo loads (in quarentine tanks) and it never comes back...
the only time it came back was when i intro'd live rock without quarentining first (do we never learn??!)
you followed the instructions of this article just as i did...
library/hospital/swich/
It can't be back... you're still in hypo... the cysts can't survive at 1.009... unless puffer queens article is completely wrong... ?!
It has always worked for me, infact my tank is in hypo right now with all surviving fish recovering well...
I'm confused..

Me too. I've done hypo for right at 3 months. I kept the sg between 1.008-1.009 but this morning I saw white spots on two of his fins.

Not just one or two more like 15-20. Maybe it's sand but when he was moving his fin it wasn't coming off. I can't see any on his body but with his light color I never saw it the first time. And with the thrashing that's what it has to be.

That was my next thought. Could there somehow be a contamination with FW ICH? Try bringing the heat up and slowly raising your SG....

That's hard to believe. Where would he have gotten it from?

Maybe he's playing an april fool prank on me, the little ham.
Lights just came on and the spots are still there. I tried to get a picture last night but you can't see
the spots. I'll try to get another to post.

I guess it could be possible.

But when I started to raise the sg that's when the spots started showing again. Maybe I did it wrong. I checked the refractometer to make sure it was right. It was still good. I'm sure it's something I did. Gotta be.
