If you want more than one puffer you could do Dwarf puffers or South american puffers. That's the two off the top of my head. Check pufferpedia under the learn tab for more informaiton.

I agree. Defiantly Dwarf puffers would work, you could get 6 of those. SAPs might work, they are more high maintenance and you could only get 2 mabye 3.

My vote is for a nice Bronze puffer (or Golden puffer, they're very similar). They're pretty fast and active for a puffer, if that appeals to you. At the stores these are often called Avocado puffers, although why I don't know, being as it is that avocados are from the Americas and both A. modestus and A. silus are from around Malaysia and that part of the world. Gotta love those common names. ;)

Even though this is in the freshwater section, i think you should go with 2 Figure 8s! They are so much fun, ad easy to take care of! But like i said in other post... I am kind of partial to them.

But with dwarfs you could have many of, and with Figure 8s you could only have 2 and maybe a couple of BBGs. So it depeds on whether you want many fish or just a couple. Either one would b a really nice tank. I love breeder tanks... with the footprint being so big, you can put so much depth of plants and decor, unlike tall tanks where you are vry limited, not to mention the added horizontal swimming space for them.

Aw, come on! You don't want no sissy F8! :D You want something that's going to attack your hand when you put it in the tank, like a modestus. And you should see him go through snails, for him they're like popcorn it's just BAM BAM BAM one right after the other.

So... Markrush... you just had to make me look up a. modestus... now i want one of them too... lets just add another fish to "Dave's long list of fish that he really really wants but cannot have at the moment" as my fiance calls it, haha!

How do you guys think a figure8 puffer and mollies would get along?

It may work, it may not work. One of my puffers (Bronze) gets along with a couple of mollies fine, but my others (GSP, Ceylon) are so vicious that they'll immediately attack anything I put in the tank with them.

Hey guys thanks for your responses, if I did go with a gsp would I be able to put anything along with him in the tank or would it have to be just him?
