Here's a few Marine Puffers I've never seen before

The first one doesn't seem like a stellatus, and looks a lot more like a species of boxfish in my opinion. Still very cute, though! ^_^

Looks like an A. stellatus to me...just stressed and wedged between two rocks. lol Cool pictures!

hi,
yes the first one ist a a. stellatus. they look very different as juveniles. their colour usually changes from yellow, over red to the grey-white that the adults have.
because of that you will often find them under different names in the elder literature: former scientists also thaugth that this had to be different species. but they are all a. stellatus!
take a look at this little guy (about 10 cm) that i have found in egypt:

That's such a nice fish
So are they puffers?
And is this 1st pic just a different spieces?

yes, the genus of arothron belongs to the family of puffers.
picture one and two and the picture posted by me are all the same species: picture one and my picture show very small juveniles, picture two showes an adult fish.
