Puffers and Morays

It seems like I hear about a lot of people keeping various species of moray eels with their puffers. Does this really work?

...since both moray and puffer may die when the moray tries to swallow the puffer and it gets stuck I do not recommend them as tank mates in general. The only moray eel I have with a puffer is a zebra eel, which has no long, but only plate like teeth.

i'd listen to what corvus says.
the shark reef in las vegas keeps puffers and morays in the same tank, and most all of the fish are pretty much full grown. i don't think they've had any problems, but that is a two or three thousand gallon tank

Ah, OK, good to know. I guess some people like taking chances, but I'm not one of them. I was just curious, because the combination seemed counterintuitive to me, but then sometimes the best tankmate for an aggressive fish can be another aggressive fish, so...go figure.

I have had eels with puffers before and it has turned out disastrous.
