Do Puffers vomit?

Hey dudes
just wondering if your puffer vomits
I have a porcupine... fed him heaps last night and today i saw some food on the bottom of the tank.
No one else has put any food in it?
Do they regurgigate their foods? if yes why? bad food? over feeding?
it look like regurgitated food cause he would eat it and then spit back out
ive never seen any of puffers spit food out ever?? haha
just thought it was interesting??

Porcs seem to regurgitate their food quite often... at least the ones I've had did.

I agree, I've seen them do it. Not sure if it's because they over eat or some other reason.

Yeah.. sloppy eaters. They often suck food in, chew on it, spit it out, suck it in, chew on it some more...
Yours may have missed some that it spit back out, or it was full, or maybe it just didn't like that particular mouthful.

Bollo my SAP ate so much Blood Worm the first time I gave it to him that he was actually pooing blood worms 2 mins later

next time i feed him i'll see iv i can get a vid of him firing it out his gills he does it alot then goes back round his tank picking the bits up again

Seen my solandri Budda take a bite out of a leather coral (only way they really have to examine new items in the tank is to taste them- kinda like when a shark grabs a surfer and spits them out). He will eat it and a few moments later spit it out. Must taste bad. My freshwater Congo Hoover has also eaten things and regurgitated them later. It was oysters for him and now he won't eat them- maybe they were going bad? I had just bought them the day before, froze them and thawed- didn't smell bad (they were already shelled- could know if they were alive when shelled) . He ate it and a hour later I found it on the bottom of the tank.

Haha, my GSP threw his food up once. A stomach full of bloodworms. Ew. Then he ate them right back up and all was well again....

Do you have a puffer or a dog? seen dogs do the same thing- Wait maybe he thinks he is a dog faced puffer!
