how do you keep your substrate so clean?

i'm just curios as to how people keep thier substrate clean. i've just been stirring it up and burying the brown algae stuff. just curious

ya i have the python and everything but it doesnt do much for the algae in the substrate.

oh... I don't have that problem. sorry. Maybe somebody knows better.
Is it algae or poo? what color is your gravel?

Python here, along with 50-75% weekly water changes.

You could try using ro/di water. This might help with the algea problem. When I use ro/di, I have less algea, something to do with phosphate. At least that's what I was told. I'm not really sure how true it is, a reef keeper would know more about it. Other than that just keep doing what your doing.
