I finally got to bring my new GSP home. My fishless cycle finished last weekend and I went puffer shopping.
The little guy has been a little timid at first. He had a little black moustache and ran away when I was in looking at the tank.
Now he buzzes around and watches me on the PC when I'm in the room. I can almost hear him saying "Psst, hey... food guy. I could use a snack."
I've been giving him a variety of foods to see what he likes. Frozen krill, mussels, shrimp and some small snails I picked up from the LFS.
Are the parasytic snails from the LFS ok, or should I be looking for a specific type?
I currently have him in a 10g brackish (1.008) by himself and will be upgrading him to a bigger tank in the next few months when he gets a little bigger.
How soon should I set as a timeline for the upgrade? Do they grow quickly? Would it be quicker in a 30g?
He seems quite happy in his new digs, he was crammed into a 20g with about 15 others at the LFS and has lots of breathing room now.
