Are they really that rare over there? Is $200 worth the same there as here?

they are rare because it is illegal to import here hehe

the conversion rate is 1 US $ is 0.63 cents AUS

so if its $200AU its $127US

yeah?

would you guys in the US pay $127 for a Green Spotted Puff knowing you can get it for $2 at Walmart? hehe

Mmh... difficult to believe...

A superficially similar native Australian puffer species is sometimes confused with T. nigroviridis. It's spotted and brackish to marine and has appeared in Australian petshops. Do you have any pictures of the actual specimen?

Here are some of the one I'm talking about (Tetractenos).

Yes, the pics show young GSPs, but are they the actual specimens or are the pics from elsewhere?

but yeah... we can only get native puffers in here

and its not that popular so mostly you have to catch it yourself????

This is crazy. My Indonesia friend told me that gsps are not very well loved over there as they always eat their baits. As punishment they will leave the fish under the sun to dry and surprisingly some can still survive when they throw them back into the sea after a prolong period that will kill most fishes.

yes.. i heard fishermans hate this brackish water puffers cause they steal their baits..

so they cut their lips so they wont have a lip to take baits from then again..

pretty barbaric.. i know!
