This is my second Fahaka. The first one would eat almost anything but really was not that keen on prawn but a muscle it was gone in a flash. This one loves prawns but runs a million miles away from muscle.
I am noy bothered as it's fun anyway to have diferent personalities in Fish.
What does your fahaka go nuts for

I have a few rosy reds that i've been raising. well Joshua decided to put one in with Pooksters (while i was napping) so that he could watch them swim around. He got to watch them for about a half a second. Pookie swallowed him whole. This is the first fish he's eaten, I don't feed them to him because of the risk of parasites but I think he enjoyed it.

I don't see anything wrong with the occasional feeder as long as it's been raised by YOU so that you know it's safe and won't transmit anything bad. And obviously it must be nutritionally appropriate- the fish can't be a goldfish and the fish getting the snack should be a piscivore. It's also a very good idea to give your feeders a strong round of broad spectrum anti-parasitics, which I like to give all my new fish anyway. If you have a lot of tanks, at some point you're going to end up with an excess of fish, like when that guppy your friend gave you has dropped 100 fry *again*. A whole fish can be very nutritionally complete- scales, bones, stomach content. It *is* what many fish eat in the wild.
However, I will never, ever give any of my fish feeder's from a store.

I've had the fish for a while and they were well taken care of so that I'm thankful for. I have a couple of tanks set up for guppies, rosey reds, snails, and crayfish stuff like that so at least I know they didn't come from a mass-produced feeder fish supplier. Never the less he knows not to do that again, He didn't think Pookie would eat the other fish, since he'd been living with a single guppy for months (the guppy was tiny though).
