Has anyone kept GSPs with tobies/sharpnose puffs? Would it work, or is that asking for trouble?

I'm sure it's possible, but it would partially depend on your puffers' temperaments. I have 2 Ceylons (similar temperament to GSPs) in with my Narrow-lined puffer (relatively peaceful puffer, similar to Tobies), but I had to separate the Ceylons from him because they were constantly nipping his tail. Tobies are equally peaceful, so my guess is they'd potentially get nipped.

I've never actually kept Tobies and GSPs together, though, so you'll have to wait for better advice.

Do you think it's the same deal with porcupines?

To be honest, I don't know that one. I know Porcs grow considerably quicker than GSPs, though, so there's a high chance that he'll be way bigger than the GSPs while being in the same tank. It doesn't mean they'll get eaten, but you really never know.

I guess I'll continue my research and tell y'all if I come up with anything lol

My porc is a huge wimp and doesn't harm my valentini or my clowns.
I think a GSP and a valentini would be pretty safe, but obviously you would need to keep a close eye on things.

thanks, I will keep this in mind. I'm hoping to get a 125+ SW within a year or two. So we'll see how it goes...

I have my Bonzo in with a Canthigaster Papua (Jimbo)
They get along just fine, there hasn't been a single bit of aggression from either of them towards each other.

I had a bad experience (near full tank crash) when I added a papua toby with my valentini.
