Worm attatched to Puff's body...

Okay so today I was about to do a water change on Puff's tank, since he just got over the eye incident, and there was a small worm attached to his side!

Puff is pretty mellow, so I gently cupped him in my palm and tried to rub it off. It didn't come off. I ended up gently pulling it off with a tweezer, and now there's a tiny hold in Puff's side. Could this be hookworm? The worm actually looked like an internal parasite, only it was attached to the outside of his body. I'm thinking about treating Puff with Melafix again, to help his wound heal, but what is the worm and what should I do now? The worm was 1/4 of an inch long, so it was pretty big...

I'd treat the tank with Prazi & do several WC. Add Melafix for that hole.

That's the weird thing, the worm didn't have the split tail like an anchor worm would....
And I shall look for Prazi tomorrow. Do you know if Petsmart or Petco has it?

Not sure, I got some from my LFS. Look for the smaller bottle, the large one is very $$$.

Petsmart & Petco don't show it online. I'm not sure if they have any in the store.
I purchased mine from drsfostersmith.
