would it be possable to add a differant kind of puffer with my Palembang, and if so what kind?

puffers tend to be a species only tank peoples and lurkers have a nasty habit to disembowel there tank mates

its definitely a gamble, like my palembang doesn't seem to mind my small tire track eel in the tank, but any time i try and put in Chinese Algae eaters and stuff like that he wouldn't hesitate to take a bite out of them once the lights went out...

It has been done before (read this article), but I definitely would not recommend it. It depends on the specimen's personality, both the palembang and the puffer you add. And it also means that you have to give them a lot of space/a big tank.

The PufferPedia says this about the palembang: "Some success housing them with their own or T. suvatti."
But again, it depends on the specimen's temperament. And you would need a lot of space for them. As there's no certainity about how the puffers will react, I would recommend against it, unless you have a spare tank big enough to house the other palembang, in case it does not work out. You must always be ready to split them in separate tanks.

Emphasis on SOME...

Filbert is a fahaka, which has more than SOME chance of eating their tankmates.

the point was there are unique cases that shouldn't be set to any norm, like getting killed by a stingray. Irwin did it that doesn't mean people need to fear or kill them.
