I have my arrowhead for 2 months now, its doing well. The problem is the plants are dying due to lack of light, just got a light set for a planted tank but my arrowhead seem to dislike it and he become quite nervous and hides in the coconut cave i made for him.

Is this normal as he may need time to adapt or is the light too bright.

A 55w PL-compact aquarium lamp.

Give him some time to get used to it.

Most fish get nervous about lighting changes, it means they are more easily seen by predators. He'll get used to it and the plants will grow in, making him feel more secure.
