Feeding raw oysters

I picked up some raw oysters at my local supermarket yesterday- on special because they go out of date today. I was going to cut them up and freeze them for later use but I decided to give part of one to Hoover- my congo- this morning. Later in the day I found what looked like the oyster in the bottom of the tank- I saw Hoover eat it but apparently he regurgitated it. He was begging for more food so I gave him some just thawed raw shrimp. He ate it and seems to be find. Should I get rid of the rest of the oysters? Do they need to be cook or frozen first before feeding?

Its best to freeze them first to kill any possible parasites, etc..
