i have had my figure 8 puffer for 2 week now and hes always had some white spots i have treated him for a week with white spot treatment (dose every 48hr) with no luck but i have noticed some days they are worse that other days :? any ideas what it could be? i have never had a fish with white spot so not 100% what it looks like but they are small white spots on the surface of his skin kinda look like air bubbles he has them over his body and few on his tail so any help would be great.

thanks,, mark

Are you sure the ones on his skin aren't just his tiny spines?

Ich looks like little bits of salt hanging onto the fish.

If the spots are all over his body and don't look like salt, but just like tiny little white dots, those are his spines. All puffer fish have spines, they stick out when they inflate as a self defense mechanism.
