can you feed green spotted puffers earht worms i treid it and they love it but i want to know if i can do it agian or not

I think you can from time to time, but I wouldn't feed your puffer ones you dig up out of the yard. Some LFSs sell them, and I think they're cleaned out and more free of any kind of parasite. But I don't know for sure, let's see what some of the others say.

Yes, they are a staple around here.

I just pick mine up from the local gas station that has a fridge for fishing bait (wax worms, nightcrawlers, etc). And I've never had any issues.

If you get them from your own yard, and you know you do not use any sort of pesticides or weed killers, I would think they'd be even more safe.

Some people freak out at the idea of not knowing where the worms came from, what they were exposed to, etc. I suppose you could always start your own worm farm, hehe.

i breed my own in a "worm farm" it is a metal tub about 30gallons started with 20 night crawlers from yard had 10 inches of dirt and planted grass and parsly put fresh fruits and veges on top ever every 5 days now i have over 60 knight crawlers last i counted i brig inside in the winter

When we had a pool & had to drain it for the winter--that was about a thousand gallons on the lawn. Thousands of worms would crawl out of their homes & try to get away from the water that could drown them. Every year, I'd get a bucket & scoop up as many as I could. They'd last about a month or more.

that is why i thought that my puffers could eat them and i tride it and they didnt even chew it

Every once in a while (like when the puffs decided they were tired of all the usual foods), I'd pick up a container of trout worms from MallWart. Chop 'em in 1" pieces. Watch puffs go nuts.

They are actually my GSPs primary food during the fishing season. During the winter months, mostly frozen mussel, and snails as treats for their beaks throughout the year.

so i can feed them more
that will save alot of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
