I was just sitting watching the fw tank and noticed the mbu gulping water, i realised that she was puffing so jumped up to get my camera. when i looked into the tank she looked at me with a look that just said "ok i'll stop being silly and spit it out" with that she un-puffed and came straight over to the glass to see me
I guess she was just practicing but i so wish i had a pic cos it was very cool

Don't you hate when you miss the potential puffing shots...

I was gutted but the minute she saw me looking, just spat all the water out!

That's what Shelby does too, it's so annoying, but so fun while it lasts!

I only caught Elvis doing it one time. I think I spooked him and that's why he puffed.

I managed to get a blurry picture but he's never done it again.

I'll be ready next time!

Yep, Paris does that too. Looks like she's having a panic attack, gulping and her eyes get huge... she usually only puffs when she gets tangled in the plants though *sigh*. What an idiot... She used to puff at the sight of a cell phone, doesn't do that anymore.

That is hilarious.

Clarkson my Fahaka puffed a little today - amazing to watch, I have never seen anything like it. He didn't seem particularly bothered or stressed - but he does seem intrigued by the Christmas tree next to his tank! I was nowhere near the tank but I saw him staring towards the tree, gulping a lot and expanding quite rapidly. I didn't move - I just wanted to watch, it was all over in a matter of seconds and he just spat the water out and carried on swimming about. I'd swear he was looking quite chuffed himself

Haha! He probably thought it was a big prickly puffer with lots of shiny things and was trying to intimidate it.
I have managed over the last year, to get two partially puffed photos of Paris.. one on my cell phone (she was puffing at the phone) so it was low quality, and the other was really bad as well.
I'm always laughing so hard at her that I never think to grab the camera, and Ryan's usually in the way anyways, trying to talk her through it.. its like lamaze class "breathe Paris! Breathe baby, that's it! Exhale, exhale!"

Hahaha! That's basically what me (and my parents) say to Shelby!

I've only seen a puffer puff once, and that gave
me a panic attac. I had had a lousy evening, and was in a very bad mood. I went into my dark bedroom, and there I saw something that looked like a ball floating around in Dragonfly's tank. My first thought was that she must have puffed on air, so I got really scared. She seemed to float around uncontrollably. But as soon as she saw me, she deflated again, and looked like she was saying: "I've done nothing. Noooo thing at all!"

It took an hour before my heart came back to normal rythm, I'm sure!

Clarkson just puffed again - as we're taking down the Christmas tree - what an amazing sight! He really doesn't seem bothered or stressed though.

I saw my Porc. puff twice, the first time I was a bit too excited and I almost broke down my roommate's door trying to wake him up and get him to come see. lol.
