I am flying to LA for a xmas family reunion. I am looking for a reputable lfs that carries healthy mbu puffers. When I return back to Canada, I am hoping that i can organize a live animal transport with the airline I am flying with.
Do you guys know what kind of paperwork I should get done prior to my trip in December?
Thanks!

You should be able to carry the puffer yourself. Be sure you have a large, cycled tank ready for it.

lots of lfs dont carry MBU's due to fast growing rate and lack of space to hold them if nobody wants to buy it. On the other hand you might able to find fahaka's because they are less expensive then MBU's

Well.. i was thinking either a suvatti or mbu.
I would be willing to setup a 200+ gallon, but after reading puffer punks thread, I dont think I should torture a mbu in such a confined space.
Maybe ill look for a suvatti instead.
So if I fly into Canada, I can carry the fish with me on board?

I would check with the airlines. Suvattii is a big difference from a mbu. How come not a fahaka?

I've never actually seen a Mbu for sale in the LA area. Fahakas once or twice, and some other puffers on rare occassions. Mostly GSPs, F8s, and Dwarfs.

I travel more then 30 different LFS in L.A. area. The rare puffers for sale are actually in Long Beach area. I seen fahakas,MBU's,Congo(red),arrowheads, giant spotted puffers...you can still find congo's and arrowhead right now in LB area.

Already have a fahaka. About to move it into a 90 to grow out a little more while i get a 120 built.
I just need to see if I have room for a 300+ gallon tank
