Baileyi nutrition

After 2 years of owning Esau the baileyi he is still only eating mussels, refusing everything else. Just bought him a load of small frozen fish and he hasnt even sniffed them. Just blows sand at them when I put them near him. I've tried leaving them in there with him, but they just go down the filter. I've tried starving him (but not more than 2 weeks), but he'd rather not eat than have fish by the looks of things. He's even gone off prawns over the last couple of months.

Is there a problem with only feeding mussels, or is it essential to get him to take something else? Shame I don't have a source of shrimp I can gutload really, otherwise I'd do that :/

Be sure to soak them overnight in a good fish vitamin. Have you tried earthworms? Very nutritious.

Mine eat mainly mussles or cockels.
Sometimes earthworms, live crayfish and (un)frozen shrimps.

I believe earthworms must be a succes, mine comes almost out of the water for them
