Sexing Valentini's

Is there anyway to sex a valentini, did read somewhere something about f they have a dark line on there tummy and the blue/green lines that sweep back from the eyes they are a boy. Is this acurate or just rubbish?

Im not so sure about the dark line thing, but the males have the blue-orange lines sweeping back from their eyes. I had a pair of them once.

if you look in the scott michael fish book, he says that the males have blue green lines irradiating from the eyes. i have no idea if this is true. the majority of puffers cannot be sexed visually like that.

Sexually mature males have green lines radiating from the rear part of the eyes.
Subadults and females do not have these lines.

Mine has lots of lines but none are green. Any sexual dimorphism in any other tobies?

Females as well as adult males have also numerous lines, but only the males have the iridescent green ones behind the eyes.

Mine even had some orange,red in between the lines.
