I feed mine too and they love them.. although they seem to prefer the mealworms after they turn to beetles

they turn to beetles?
I have a small box of them that i bought from the pet store. Do i need to feed them? How long will they live in the box for and how soon will they turn into beetles?

I used to feed my GSP mealworms. He liked it for the first one or two days, and then they lost interest. The outer skin of the mealworms is very hard to digest for the puffers, and I think the fat content is really high so they're not exactly the best food for your puffers.

P.S. I fed my GSP a beetle that morphed from a mealworm once too. He liked it and went nuts.

Extremely fatty & difficult to digest their chiton (outer skin).
