I do not know what the problem is. I just finished using Jungle Parasite tank buddies for internal and external parasites. I followed the instructions and did 2 treatments.

he is currently in a qt 10 gallon tank he has been in there for 1 week now. he is normally with his friend in a 90 gallon tank.

amonia 0
nitrite 0
nitrates about 10-20 most likely less. was light color than match chart.
salinity 1.005
exactly 79 degrees

same for qt and 90 gal



sole inhabitant in the 10 gallon with plastic plants

no changes to the aquarium in the last week or more

he gets fed once a day either blood worms, snails crushed, shrimp, or mussel. (i skip a day once a week like the guide says)

any help would be great.

i dont know much about this, but it looks to me like hes still got IP's. Did you soak his food in the treatment? Im sure I read somewhere that you are meant to soak the food in the treatment so that the fish swallows it? (could be wrong)

I used these ones http://www.junglelabs.com/pages/details.asp?item=TB636 it said do not soak food in the medicine for it.

i just dropped it in and it fizzed.

maybe i should try a different ip medicine? one that you soak the food in?

Try Gel Tek for IP. Just soak the food in it for 30 minutes with some water and then feed it to your puffer.

I'd add garlic to that soak.

I had to treat a GSP once and it was a couple of days after the last treatment before he started eating again...so maybe that's what's happening with yours?

I got the gel tek for internal parasites. do i just follow the insutrctions on the bottle or do you guys use more for better treatment? also how do you mix in garlic with it and how long do you soak the food for? 3-4 hours?

he is now not swimming much , he hovers around falling to one side and doinf full body flips. mostly he is just sinking : [

but why does his skin color turn more bright? it use to be pail before he started flipping and sinking

Sorry to say, I rarely see a puffer come back at this point. Have you tested the water parameters lately?

yes i dipped the stick in like 2 hours ago and tested amonia

amonia = 0
nitrites - 0
nitrates are like 10

he is still floating around? so there is nothing I can do for him?

Not unless you want to try force-feeding.

i put him down with clove oil he couldnt move anymore

I had to do the same thing recenlty and know it is a very hard thing to do. Sorry for your loss.
