Teeth length for trimming.

At what point should a SA puffer's teeth be trimmed? In the puffer dentistry article, one particular puffer has VERY long teeth, is it advisable to only trim them once they are that long? Or would it be necessary before the teeth reach that stage? I'd just like a little more clarifying so I know exactly what to look for, thankyou all.

Trim at the point where it looks like they are having trouble opening their mouths to get food in.
