hey guys, so my porcupine puffer has ich, ive dropped the salinity and gave him a freshwater dip (which he accepted rather well) and hes in a qt. Ive noticed these white fluffy things at the bottom of the tank, what is that? Is that some of the parasites falling off? Ive cleaned the bottom like 4 times today, he hasnt eaten anything today at all but he now is swimming about the tank. Should i give him another freshwater dip? Any suggestions?

Have you read the article on this in our Library? Just follow that & he should be fine.

but remember you have to treat the main tank as well, or he's get it again as soon as you put him back in...

:-)

Nope, keeping it fallow, is fine. Get your puffer down to 1.009 & tons of WC. Keep a lot of mixed SW on hand. Are there other fish?

The only other fish is, i think hes called an architect goby. I think he has it worse than the puffer. There was a domino damsel but we lost him.

The two are sharing the qt together, the goby and the puffer. I noticed some white stringy stuff coming out of the puffer as he was going to the bathroom. Im assuming internal parasites. I quickly did a water change and he seemed to be feeling better after that. He has been swimming all around the qt. I did notice that one of his eyes is getting cloudy. He hasnt eaten today but im going to try to feed him in a bit. Any suggestions for the internal parasites or do u guys think its something else? Also, tank is at 78-80 degrees is that ok?

That temp is fine but a little lower might be better & add an airstone. Is he skinny? What's the SG now?
