tests for brackish tanks

hey guys, what do u use to test your brackish tanks? I have those stripes that test fresh and saltwater but i do have a test kit with the test tubes and chemicals but its just for saltwater, will that do....

It's a bit of a gray area, but I usually think that anything under 1.012 SG works fine for freshwater tests. Anything over that, then SW tests tend to be best.
To be honest, though, I've never used test kits between 1.010 SG and 1.018 SG, as I've never had a tank in that salinity range.

thanks for the input, to be honest what i usually do is use a test strip and compare it to the freshwater and saltwater charts on the bottle and figure its somewhere in between.
