WHITE SPOTS, I have looked closely and they are smaller than the sand i use (so dont think it's sand stuck on him) and it is also around his eyes and he appears to be breathing very heavily. Now I haven't got a hospital tank set up what do you think if I remove my live rock (I have a mixture of live and ocean rock in my tank) into a bucket with water from my tank and leave fallow, and then reduce my salinity in my tank to do the hypo salinity root, how quickly do i take the salinity down etc? If you have read my thread on the marine puffer section you will know this is a puffer I only bought a week ago as a dog face and has turned out to be a stars and stripes, which i was unsure if I would be keeping or not, I managed to get him a new home with the national marine aquarium but not sure they will take him in this state, (what does a nervous breakdown feel like??) Any help would be greatly appreciated.

27kg of rock a mixture of live and ocean
rena xp2 filter with carbon, rowa phos, and filter sponge(Need to get rid of i've since learnt)

& another power head which name escapes me at moment
Tank been set up since end of May.
This is all the info I can give you at moment, apart from he is still eating but not buzzing like he was.

Just follow the article in our Library for best results. You can save this puffer. You will need a heater & a small powerhead on the rock in the bucket & keep an eye on the parameters, to be sure it isn't dying in there. What about your sand?

will get as much sand as i can out along with live rock,(forgot about that in my panic) read the article and will get cracking.
