I recently bought a 5-6 in fahaka at my local lfs about 3 days ago. It was in a 10 gal or 15 gal holding tank and its pretty beat up but there seems to be no signs of disease. It is very active and eats healthy but the only problem is that it looks beat up and not showing full bright colors cuz it looks beat up. I treated it with some pimafix and melafix just in case but only one dosage. Should i continue the dosage for a week like it says on the bottle? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

If there are no signs of fungus, I'd probably just go with the melafix to heal up the wounds faster myself, but I doubt continuing both will hurt in any way. Most important is a very large, well cycled tank.

Yes, please tell us about his tank & how it was cycled? Melafix for a week should fix him right up.
