Anyone use this? If so, how do you calculate the dosage? I don't have a gram scale.

my directions say use 85mg/l or less for pet and tropical fish. 85mg/l is for rapid anesthesia. So if you have small puffers use 50mg/l or less better safe than sorry it will just take longer for them to get knocked out.
the conversions of grams to gallons is multiply the number of mg by .00378.

e.g. 50mg/l =50 x 0.00378 g/gal.

so if you use one gal of water to knock them out it would be 0.189 grams per 1 gallon of water using the 50mg/l calculation I just gave.

You should be able to put all fish in that one gallon at the same time but don't leave them in there for more than 15 minutes. It may take up to 30 min for them to fully come back from them being knocked out so just put them in fresh tank water and be patient for recovery time.

this is just what my directions said. Like i stated earlier if you are nervous use a smaller dose it will just take up to 20 minutes or so for them to get sedated With the smaller dose they may just be less mobile than fully sedated.

Do you have any of those tiny spoons that come with some test kits? I used that.

If your scale is that acurate you can use one. not many scales go to the hundreths. And with the dosages being so small I would look for a spoons like PP said. Or if you have a sweet scale then that should work fine just remeber to zero out the scale with the bowl or cup so that you get an acurate measurement.
